Vocational and Skills Training
The Vocational Training is a two-month training programme to impart basic computer skills, as well as soft skills to trainees. The training curriculum includes:

Fundamentals of Computer

Internet
-
Microsoft Office Applications
-
Soft Skills
Lessons are conducted from Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 5 pm.
Trainees who successfully complete the training programme have the opportunity to proceed to the six-month Certificate of Office Skills (COS) to advance their ICT skills and soft skills. Trainees may also proceed on to the Employment Support Programme (ESP) which provides job matching and placement support services to assist the graduates in finding a job.
Entry Requirements and Application
The Vocational Training is open to and course fees fully subsidised for all Ugandan Citizens or Permanent Residents who;

Are 16 years of age or above

Have a permanent disability (including physical, sensory or developmental disability)

Are proficient in English
-
Have basic literacy and numeracy skills

Are able to travel independently
Applicants to the Prevocational Training programme are to prepare the following documents:

Completed ABI Trainee Registration Form

Scanned or photocopy of identity card

Scanned or photocopy of medical diagnosis indicating nature of disability

An introductory letter from your community leader
